BG’S STORY

BG was founded with a desire to create distinctive clothing for women who move naturally between city life and a free-spirited way of living.

The brand brings together refined craftsmanship, carefully selected fabrics sourced locally and internationally, including from France and Italy, and a relaxed approach to contemporary dressing.

Each collection offers versatile, comfortable and expressive pieces designed to move effortlessly through different moments of the day.

CREATIVE VISION

Beste Gurel approaches the design process from a philosophical and spiritual perspective, reflecting her own free-spirited sensibility.
Her aim is to translate this vision into timeless wardrobe pieces that can be worn with ease and styled in different ways. Memories, dreams, nature and the surrounding environment are recurring sources of inspiration throughout her work.

ABOUT BESTE GÜREL

Born in 1982, Beste Gürel began her creative journey through painting and discovered her interest in fashion while working in an art studio.

She studied at the London College of Fashion and later continued her education at Parsons School of Design in Paris. After gaining experience with internationally renowned designers, including Stella McCartney and Amanda Wakeley, she returned to Turkey in 2007 and graduated from the Fashion and Textile Design Department of Yeditepe University’s Faculty of Fine Arts.

She later worked at Vakko and provided styling consultancy to several prominent brands. In 2009, she opened her first boutique in Çukurcuma, later relocating to Nişantaşı.

Following her participation in Istanbul Fashion Week in 2012, she continued to develop her signature approach, creating distinctive pieces that reflect each client’s personal style while complementing their individual silhouette.
